Bob Moore, a FOCUS Senior Advisor, has held several healthcare senior management positions. Recently he served as VP of Sales & Marketing for a national healthcare research company, The Myers Group. He remains a board member and investor. Previously he held a management position and was an equity investor at HealthAmerica Realty Group, LLC, a national medical real estate company. Prior to joining HealthAmerica, Mr. Moore co-founded and served as Executive Vice President of Surgicoe, an out-patient ambulatory surgery center (ASC) management company that was acquired by United Surgical Partners, Inc.
In 1982, Mr. Moore co-founded Gates, Moore & Company, a national physician practice management company. As President, he established client relationships with more than 2,000 healthcare providers that included national hospital systems, insurance carriers, medical specialty societies and numerous single and multi-specialty physician groups. He has extensive experience working with hospital systems, including medical staff development, physician network development and outpatient services development.
Mr. Moore is a published author of numerous articles in healthcare industry and trade journals. In addition, he serves as an Advisory Board member for Physician Practice Journal magazine and the Institute of Health Administration, J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
He is a founding board member of the Georgia Society of Ambulatory Surgery Centers. He also serves as the United States Representative to the Combined Operations Center Association in Inveraray, Scotland.
Mr. Moore attended Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts where he received a B.S. degree in accounting and finance and a Master of Business Administration degree. He was a Captain in the Infantry and Military Intelligence Branches of the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam as well as a tour in Taiwan and Okinawa.
