Georgi Petty, FOCUS Director of Business Development, is based in our Atlanta office and supports the Southeastern Region. Ms. Petty has over nine years experience in Atlanta in investment banking and financial services.

Prior to joining FOCUS, Ms. Petty was an outside sales consultant with John Hancock Financial. She was responsible for developing business in the Georgia market and was able to bring in $33 million to the company and double her territory in a year. She consistently exceeded her sales goals while at the company. Ms. Petty arrived at John Hancock from Trusco Capital management where she held a role in internal sales and along with her team brought in $600 million for the complex. Previously, Ms. Petty was an investment banking analyst with KPMG Corporate Finance, LLC. She targeted middle market telecommunications companies and assisted in the largest private equity close for the company of $75 million in the year 2000. Ms. Petty began her career at Robinson Humphrey, where she had first hand exposure to the inner workings of public companies. There she was responsible for writing research reports and working with company management she communicated to the sales force and to the public.

Ms. Petty graduated with honors from the University of Georgia, where she received a degree in Finance.  She holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
