| Mr.
Stevens is a seasoned financial and operations veteran with
over 25 years of senior level experience in the technology,
professional services, value added distribution, marketing
services, light manufacturing and retail sectors including
international expertise. He has been CFO and a board member
with four high growth public companies and has directed the
execution of over 50 M&A transactions across the US, Canada
and Europe as well as two IPOs and a wide variety of capital
funding vehicles.
Prior to joining FOCUS, Mr. Stevens was President
of the Stevens Group, providing investment banking and financial
advisory services to a broad range of technology and professional
services companies. Engagements included Venture Capital and
private equity placements, M&A transactions advisory including
post-acquisition integration, debt restructurings and placements
including conventional, asset based and mezzanine debt as
well as turn-around assistance.
Formerly, Mr. Stevens served as CFO and board
member of The Peak Technologies Group, the largest international
industrial bar code systems provider, which grew from $20M
to $300M during his tenure. Mr. Stevens drove Peak's IPO and
subsequent public offerings, 23 domestic and international
acquisitions and a variety of capital and debt placements
as well as having line responsibility for US and European
business units generating $70M in revenue. Prior to Peak,
he held CFO, board member and other senior positions with
Electrocomponents, an international direct marketing distributor
of technology products and services; KLP investments, an international
marketing services organization and the Whitlock Corporation,
a specialty retailer of automotive parts and accessories.
Mr. Stevens played a critical role in the acquisition of each
of these companies by strategic buyers.
Mr. Stevens is a CPA and received a BS in accounting
and speech communications, with high honors, from the University
of Northern Iowa and is an active member of the Baltimore
Washington Venture Group.
